AI Global Cloud Skills Challenge 2021

During the month of May, I want to tie BOTH of these passions together in the form of a Global Cloud Skills Challenge (#TheMVPChallenge) and invite you to join in this month-long learning journey to not only learn new technologies along with me, but also bridge the stigma gap where humanity meets technology to inspire an impactful and responsible change for Mental Health Awareness Month!

Guest on The Uptake Podcast talking Neurodiversity as a Superpower

In this episode of The Uptake Podcast, Anna Chu, Paul Warren, and Chris Gill had a raw and honest conversation about being vulnerable and authentic, growing the community, being a mentor, discussing neurodiverse as well as neurotypical folks, navigating the workplace with a “hidden superpower”, and helping children through their life experiences in an effort to foster inclusive communities and growth mindsets.

Calming WFH anxiety with 10 tips

Everyone is talking about COVID-19, and rightfully so. It can be overwhelming to continually hear about it in the news, social networks, phone calls, text messages, and at work. On top of this uncertainty, a TON of the world’s workforce is also being sent home to work remotely and for most people, this is their very first experience with this type of “work” or “WFH” (I have sporadically worked from home, so this week has been the longest stretch for me as well).

My #40Days of #Neurodiversity challenge

In November 2019, I accepted a challenge from two incredible entrepreneurial spirits and friends, Dona Sarkar and Sarah Haggard. After speaking up about Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), I was “strongly volunTOLD” that this 40-in-40 challenge would not only help to build my brand and further develop my storytelling abilities, but most importantly, be a great way to give back to the community and raise awareness for mental health and neurodiversity. Now, I truly struggle with the word “disorder”, as each of these so-called disorders give us “abilities” to be successful and have “superpowers” in situations where others may struggle. This challenge would give a rare opportunity to try and educate/change the mindset for folks, as well as increase self-awareness for readers on the journey.

Behind door #9 of the Azure Advent Calendar we have Azure Sentinel, Microsoft’s new cloud-native Security Information Event Management (SIEM) and Security Orchestration Automated Response (SOAR) scalable solution. There are a lot of nooks and crannies in this solution, so we will cover initial onboarding, how to use the tool, and how to expand the tool for some more advanced features (with some other Christmas gifts as well)!

AZ-500: Microsoft Azure Security Technologies Exam Study Notes

What better than to have started blogging about my exam preparation notes that with this perfectly representative AZ-500: Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate exam from Microsoft! I had taken this when it was in Beta format and narrowly failed the exam, arguably because I hadn’t prepared one bit for the concepts being evaluated. Sure, you *could* rely on roughly 10 years of Azure experience, but as this technology changes daily, I highly recommend preparing fully for this expansive exam!
